Amid Coronavirus fears and toilet paper shortages, these are some challenging times for all of us. So I feel the need now more than ever for us all to share hope, in some form or another.
This world is temporary. But our hope is eternal.
Nothing in this world is forever. Highs and lows will come and go. The economy will rise and fall, and rise again. But one thing we can always cling to, is hope. The hope in a God who restores. The hope in life after all of this.
Jesus tells us plainly in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Somehow, His statement that I will have trouble brings me peace. Because it means I don’t have to be surprised or think something is going wrong when it happens. It is just a temporary part of my journey in this life. And it won’t last forever.
A challenge for hope.
I am challenging myself, and anyone else who would like to join me. For the next 30 days, I challenge you to find and share one thing each day that will spread hope. We must lift each other up during these difficult times. And considering the fact that we are all social distancing and therefore cannot physically be together during this time, let’s make the most of our online resources.
Be the light.
Be the light that someone needs to see today. You may be the only chance they have of receiving the slightest glimmer of hope. And when you’re feeling lost, I want you to have a place to come back to for a reminder that you are not alone. We are all in this together. And we will get through it.
The internet doesn’t have to be a completely depressing space. We can bring light to the dark places if we choose to. So let’s choose to.
And please, if you are in need of prayer, please reach out to me. Whether in a comment or an email, I’m just a click away.

THE 30 DAYS OF HOPE CHALLENGE:
Every day, beginning on March 18, 2020, I will share a post on Instagram and Facebook with some words of hope. I invite you to comment with words of hope that you would like to share with others, or simply share the post. It only takes a moment. But sometimes, a moment is all we need to change our perspective.
